Hensleigh is 6 months
Photo taken by the wonderful Allison Weaver.
It has been forever since I updated on our sweet little girl. She is now 6 months old and cuter then ever. This is whats going on in the life of Hensleigh.
- Rolling over both from front to back and back to front.
- Sitting up completely by her self.
- Sleeping 11-12 hours at night.
- Still not a great eater. Breast feeding is a hit a miss. And more misses then hits. My milk started to disappear back around 4 months and since then breast feeding hasn't been great. I still haven't been able to get my milk completely back. I'm almost out of freezer milk and will have to start supplementing with formula in the next few weeks.
- She started rice cereal and is starting to get better at it and enjoy it more.
- Loves putting every single thing in her mouth.
- Loves her binkie.
- Smiles like crazy.
- Laughs every now and then but still isn't a big laugher.
- Wears 6-9 month clothes depending on the brand.
- Takes really great naps. 1 to 1/12 hours in the morning, then 21/2-3 hours in the afternoon and sometimes she still needs a 30-45 minute power nap around 4:30.
- Loves her exersaucer still
- Not the biggest fan of the bumbo.
- Has a hard time taking naps if shes not in her crib. She will sleep in her carseat but not very good unless she is actually in the car and its moving.
- She doesn't mind being in the carseat as long as shes not sitting still.
- She kicks her socks or shoes of everyday.
- Her new favorite nose to make is a babababa sound that she does while sucking her lips in and opening her mouth over and over. It's adorable!
- She doesn't mind tummy time as much as she used to.
- She can find her binkie and put it in her mouth all by herself.
- Her eyes are still blue and I think they are staying that way.
- Not sure on her weight and height. Appointment is in another week.
- She wakes up really happy and smiles so big when we come into the room.
- We've started teaching her sign language.
- Still having really bad blow outs from time to time.
- Still prefers the right side of her body over the left. We bought her a babymoon pillow and it is helping with her flat head. Whenever she rolls over it is always to the right.
- Size 3 diapers.
- Yesterday (2/20/13) she started inching herself forward. But then it became inches herself backwards and she got mad. We could have a crawler before we know it.
-Drinks 9oz in the bottle
- So interested in every little thing going on around it.
- Learning to reach for us when she wants us.
- Grabs anything in arms reach.
- She can almost feed herself with the bottle.
She is almost a perfect baby. If she wasn't such a bad eater I would say 100% she is a perfect baby. But honestly there should be no complaints because she is so happy, so content and so amazing in so many ways. We can't get enough of her every single day. Our hearts just keep getting filled with more love for her every second. We love our sweet little Hensleigh.

Kim!! She is so cute, love her big blue eyes. Chunky babes are the best. She is adorable! Your such a cute mom! Miss you & Love ya!
Cute picture. I'm so stoked you're teaching her sign language. Keep it up and just constantly do it! Don't give up. It is SOOO much fun when they start connecting the dots and start performing the signs. Hannah can talk plenty now, but she still enjoys learning new signs. She's up to about 90 signs now in her vocabulary.
